General Hair Care

  1. Wait at least 72 hours to wash the hair after the chemotherapy session with the Capelli system cooling.
  2. Do not use capillary paint or dye after chemotherapy with the help of Capelli.
  3. You do not have to be afraid to brush or comb your hair, but you should be careful and gentle, using a wide-toothed comb or a soft brush such as the ones indicated for babies or the Magic Brush - Fabinject, untangle hair brush.
  4. If you want to tie your hair, use a ribbon bow or a soft cloth. Avoid elastic or pressure fasteners.
  5. Avoid braiding or permanent.
  6. Do not use dryers, planks, heated bobbins or other appliances that subject the hair to excessive heat.
  7. Do not use products containing chemicals such as permanent dyes, gels or sprays. Look for those that are herbal or natural vegetables, with balanced pH as they help nourish the threads.
  8. Wear the pillow with silk or satin pillowcase, preventing hair from awakening embarrassed. Preferably sleep with silk or satin net.

Washing the hair

  1. Use shampoos and conditioners that are pH-balanced 5.5 or based on natural herbs that help nourish hair.
  2. Do not use too acidic or alkaline capillary products.
  3. Always wash your hair with cold water.
  4. When applying shampoo and conditioner, gently stir in hair.
  5. Let the hair dry naturally or wipe the towel gently caressing it. If you choose a dryer, use it only on the cold temperature. 
  6. If possible, try to wash your hair at most twice a week.
  7. During chemotherapy treatment with scalp cooling, it is recommended that you wash your hair on the day you go to the clinic.
  8. Wait at least 72 hours to wash your hair after the chemotherapy session with the scalp cooling.

Painting the hair

It is not recommended to paint the hair during the period of chemotherapy with scalp cooling.

Going to the beauty salon

It is not advisable to go to the hairdresser during chemotherapy with scalp cooling. If you feel the need, the professional should be aware of your condition, not to act in a way that damages your hair, causing the fall.


Treatment success requires collaboration and understanding of patient care after treatment.
If the patient decides not to follow the recommendations, such as using chemicals and hair drier at hot temperature in the hair, be aware that attitudes can affect the success of scalp cooling treatment, which may lead to increased hair loss.
