YES, IT IS IMPORTANT

Case 01

Patient in V cycle, with breast cancer EC IV (Carcinomatosis Pulmonar) in first-line cytotoxic chemotherapy with docetaxel + gemcitabine.

Patient had already done AC - T (adriblastine + cyclophosphamide + paclitaxel weekly) in neoadjuvance, without the cap and with universal alopecia.
In this case, docetaxel + gemcitabine was treated with no capillary drop, not even grade I alopecia.

Case 02

Patient after IV cycle, with breast cancer on chemotherapy with AC-T (adriblastine + cyclophosphamide) scheme for 4 cycles, every 21 days, followed by T-paclitaxel weekly for 12 weeks.

Patient did the IV cycles of the AC scheme. Grade IV alopecia was expected soon after the first cycle, but it ended the IV cycles with alopecia grade I only. Photos taken 21 days after the last cycle of AC.

Alopecia is not a threat to life, but its effect can turn into a psychological disaster. For the patient, family and friends.
